The Senior Managing Consultant position is a senior staff consulting position.  This position requires a highly motivated problem solver with solid analytical ability, strong organizational skills, and a desire to advance within the organization. The work of a Senior Managing Consultant will involve both execution and oversight of engagement work streams that may be either qualitative or quantitative in nature, and responsibilities include: management of junior staff, expert analysis of healthcare policy and healthcare markets, quality control, development and presentation of client deliverables, management of existing client relationships, industry research, and expansion of business.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage client engagements and discreet segments of larger projects.
  • Delegate assignments to staff, instruct and monitor progress, and review work product for completeness and accuracy.
  • Generate client deliverables and make valuable contributions to diligence projects.
  • Collaborate with other practices with in BRG to generate cross-selling opportunities and improved productivity Manage client relationships and communicate results and work product as appropriate.
  • Demonstrate healthcare policy expertise and healthcare industry expertise.
  • Demonstrate creativity and efficient use of relevant software tools, and analytical methods. 
  • Participate in group practice meetings, contribute to business development initiatives and office functions such as staff training and recruiting.
  • Participate in design and implementation of data analytics deliverables as appropriate
  • Prioritize assignments and responsibilities in order to meet goals and deadlines.

Qualifications

  • A degree (e.g., BS, BBA, MBA, M.A., M.S., etc.) with a focus in healthcare policy, particularly Federal Medicare policy.
  • 7 + years of work experience with a primary focus on one or more of the following areas: healthcare policy, healthcare consulting or operations experience to providers and payors.
  • Government policy experience, such as Congressional staff or CMS staff, particularly valuable.
  • 5+ years’ experience with Medicare Part A and Part B payment systems.
  • Data analytics experience and programming skill a plus
  • Desire and ability to manage processes and other consultants.
  • Commitment to producing high quality analysis and attention to details.
  • Keen interest in healthcare policy and healthcare industry and research. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Desire to work within a team environment.
