Berkeley Research Group, LLC is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer who will help create polished designs for BRG marketing initiatives. Candidates should have a solid foundation in graphic design demonstrated through compelling use of design principles and elements including: white space, balance, typography, color, contrast, alignment, etc. You will be responsible for providing graphic design and desktop production expertise in support of the print, web, email, and presentation needs of the firm and its offices and practice groups.

Responsibilities

  • The Junior Graphic Designer will work mainly on production, making modifications to completed work, under the direction of the Lead Designers. Projects include advertisements, brochures, interactive media, e-publications, logos, newsletters, invitations, event materials, marketing collateral, email campaigns, infographics, and web graphics.
  • Ability to take direction and adhere to the firm’s established standards for corporate branding and unique identity in the marketplace.
  • Work collaboratively and inclusively with other team members to pitch ideas and brainstorm during the execution of final design concepts, providing advice and recommendations to ensure an effective result.
  • Provide proofing expertise to ensure projects are error-free before returning to clients for review. Work with the marketing team to ensure all projects adhere to the firm’s style standards and are correct and accurate.
  • Create production specifications with clear instructions, send jobs to third-party vendors, and coordinate print production process as required.
  • Assist in enforcing graphic standards for internal and external materials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; emphasis in graphic design preferred
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant experience producing consistent visual assets across a variety of digital platforms; Recent graduates may apply
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office Suite. Specifically, Ilustrator, Indesign, and Photoshop; Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Resourceful, detail-oriented, and an energetic team player
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Time management skills and the ability to handle multiple, on-going assignments
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Thrives in collaborative environments
  • Proficiency in HTML and CSS a plus
