    The Owner’s Representative will work as a contractor for a multi-family building construction project in Asheville, NC.  The project is expected to last 18-24 months.

     

    Headquartered in Emeryville, California, BRG currently has over 40 offices across the United States and internationally. This position offers advancement opportunities within a rapidly growing expert services and consulting firm.

    Responsibilities

    • Daily verification of general contractor and subcontractor work activities.
    • Recording of work activities in a daily report, with descriptions and photographs of work activities.
    • Reporting progress and issues to the BRG project manager on a daily basis.
    • Reporting of observed safety or security issues.
    • Coordinating work activities with contractors hired directly by the owner.
    • Representing the owner in meetings with building department officials, design firm representatives, and other entities.
    • Conducting punch list inspections of completed units and buildings, and verifying completion of punch list items.

    Qualifications

    • A degree (e.g., BS, BBA, MBA, M.A., M.S., etc.) with a focus in construction management, architecture, or engineering. Superintendent level field experience will be considered in lieu of college degree. 
    • 5-10 years of experience in Owner’s Representative or Construction Manager positions
    • Working knowledge of mid-rise multi-family building construction and site development construction. 
    • Familiarity in reviewing project schedules is required
    • Proven capability with MS Word and Excel, and strong writing skills.
