    BRG is seeking a Facilities and General Operations Senior Manager to join its Operations Team and help with the day-to-day Management of BRG’s 40+ office portfolio, various Real Estate projects, provide project management for multi-disciplinary projects, and various other tasks required to run the organization. We are seeking a high-energy candidate, experienced in Project Management in real estate, space planning, construction, or a similar function. Candidates should also have a good understanding of financial modeling and analysis.

     

    Responsibilities

    Duties/essential functions include working with the Operations team and assisting the team lead by the Vice-President & Head of Operations and Strategic Planning in:

    • preparation of facilities expansion and relocation proposals,
    • preparation of financial analysis related to real estate projects,
    • management of construction projects,
    • management of space planning activities,
    • lease negotiations and management,
    • management of Research Resources (databases, reports subscriptions), as well as
    • execution of special projects
    • execution of administrative tasks related to real estate and operations management

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 2 years working in Real Estate projects with either Building Management office, Architects, Contractors, Commercial furniture vendors, construction management, or in-house in a corporate Real Estate management office.
    • Bachelor’s degree and an undergraduate level understanding of Project Management, Construction and Space Planning.  Equivalent work experience will be considered.
    • Strong Finance and Project Accounting skills. Ability to prepare and manage budgets, prepare cashflow statements and prepare financial analysis. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Ability to read, understand, and sketch plans.
    • Skilled and experienced at business negotiations. 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to effectively work with internal stake holders and outside vendors.
    • Ability to be adaptable, multi-task & must be customer-centric.
    • Must be a team player who is willing to pitch in and help where necessary.
    • Ability and willingness to travel 20-30% sometimes on short notice. Some of the travel is international.

     

    Candidate must be able to submit verification of his/her legal right to work in the U.S., without company sponsorship.
