    The Senior Network Engineer will design, implement, manage, maintain, and optimize our Local and Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN).  This position will work closely with other members of the Infrastructure team to monitor our environment and ensure the stability, integrity and efficient operation of the network.

    • Provide architectural and engineering design of large-scale datacenter network infrastructure.
    • Ownership responsibility for large project lifecycle from design through implementation and support.
    • Propose alternative methods for improving performance and/or reliability of the existing network infrastructure.
    • Generate and complete comprehensive network documentation.
    • Cleanup / standardizing configuration for sites.
    • Configuring BGP / routing to be more deterministic and pathed efficiently.
    • Deploying a comprehensive network monitoring solution.
    • Identifying / testing / deploying automated configuration backups.
    • Next-Gen SD-WAN design.
    • Creation of formal office standards.
    • Work with server team to ensure optimal connectivity / performance of VM hosts and storage devices.
    • Plans and coordinates system utilization, and performs growth analysis and capacity planning for routers, switches and other network appliance.
    • Responsible for thorough and concise Visio documentation of Cisco-based enterprise network.
    • Maintain and troubleshoot firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN appliances, vulnerability assessment tools, event and log analysis, security change tracking and other network systems and devices.
    • Troubleshoot systems and networks to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational problems.
    • Support changes/additions/removal for various MPLS circuits.
    • Support / work on Palo Alto Panorama Integrations.
    • Investigate, test, evaluate and remain informed of new technologies, products and services.
    • Develop and improve network configuration procedures.
    • Review, implement and test client and vendor requests for network accesses.
    • Coordinate and develop test plans and implement network tools and processes.
    • Maintain relationships with 3rd party vendors.
    • Must have experience implementing best practices and standards, such as ITIL and ISO.
    • Knowledge of maintaining a virtual server environment using VMware.
    • Serve as escalation to Tier I and Tier II Support Engineers and other Network Engineers.


    • 7+ years of Network Engineering experience.
    • Extensive knowledge of LAN/WAN routing and switching with Cisco & HP equipment.
    • Ability to support WAN connectivity, optimization/acceleration, and troubleshoot MPLS / ISP circuit issues.
    • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and VPN appliances.
    • In-depth knowledge of routing and redundancy protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, VRRP, HSRP and SIP).
    • Experience with many of the following protocols & technologies: RSTP, VLANs/STP, Trunking (Ether-channel)/LACP, IPv4 & IPv6, TCP, IGMP, LDP, RADIUS, ISE, IPSEC & VPNs, Netflow, DNS, HTTP, DHCP, SNMP, TACACS)
    • Understanding of storage networks consisting of iSCSI & Fibre Channel protocols.
    • Wireless experience preferred, to include 802.11x standards in a Cisco Controller based infrastructure.
    • Familiarity with different monitoring software suites.
    • Strong understanding of VMware and Windows Operating Systems.
    • Extensive experience in IT infrastructure planning and deployment.
    • Strong interest in technical knowledge sharing and mentioning junior staff.
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
    • Excellent written/verbal communication skills and time management skills.
    • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • CCNA/CCNP certification is a plus.
    • Position requires traveling for short periods. Trips will sometimes extend to 5 working days and could on rare occasions extend beyond 5 business days. All travel expenses will be reimbursed.
