    Senior Managing Consultants demonstrate a deep understanding of all technical and management aspects of engagement requirements in their primary areas of expertise as well as a thorough understanding of the business and financial principles of one or more industries, or other technical service offerings such as advanced econometrics or financial analyses. Senior Managing Consultants are responsible for project management on engagements of any size, and are often a key client contact for an engagement.  They are capable of planning, budgeting, executing and delivering on a variety of projects.  They actively manage staff and demonstrate consistent, balanced project delegation, supervision and leadership skills across all areas of an engagement.  They coordinate and actively participate in developing solutions and creating client deliverables, including the drafting of complex sections of deliverables.  Senior Managing Consultants lead the career development efforts of the professionals who are members of their engagement teams or office.  They assume managerial roles in the office for such functions as recruiting, training, or staff coordination. Senior Managing Consultants often take an active role in business development through management and expansion of projects and client relationships, development of project proposals and the creation of thought leadership papers, journal articles and presentations.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for planning, budgeting, executing and delivering discreet complex segments of large projects or all aspects of small or medium sized client assignments.
    • Collaborates with other team members to consistently update and define methodologies within focus area.
    • Can actively manage staff and demonstrate consistent, balanced project delegation, supervision and leadership skills within team focus area.
    • Coordinates and actively participates in developing solutions and creating client deliverables, including the drafting of complex sections of deliverables.
    • Assumes managerial roles for such functions as recruiting, training, or staff coordination.
    • Participates in developing project proposals and other business development endeavors.
    • Strives to assimilate knowledge of other focus areas and assist as needed and directed.

    Qualifications

    • Solid understanding of clinical and non-clinical supply chain
    • Time management skills to be able to handle more than one engagement at a time.
    • Analytical skill strong enough to support junior staff
    • Resource management skills
    • Areas of knowledge and expertise to include: Clinical skills in Surgery, Cath lab, Radiology or other clinical knowledge
    • Expertise in: Operations, Inventory management, Distribution knowledge, and Purchase Services  
    • Demonstrates ability to develop and maintain collaborative, value-added relationships with focus area client leadership
    • Strong office productivity software skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
    • Creative, entrepreneurial minded with the desire to build effective team and best practice methodology
    • Ability to create and achieve engagement budgets and timelines, as well as successfully execute project plans
