    The Managing Consultant position is a mid-level consulting staff position.  This position requires a highly motivated problem solver with solid analytical ability, strong organizational skills, and a desire to advance within the organization. The work of a Consultant will involve both execution and oversight of engagement work streams that may be either qualitative or quantitative in nature, and responsibilities include: management of junior staff, design of statistical and financial analysis, modeling of financial data and markets, quality control, development and presentation of client deliverables, management of existing client relationships, industry research, and expansion of business.

    • Plan and manage of all aspects of small to medium sized client engagements and discrete segments of larger projects.
    • Demonstrate a logical and structured approach to time management and task prioritization.  Work within project timelines and budgets. Be able to organize own time, schedule tasks for completion and deliver work to that schedule.
    • Delegate assignments to staff, instruct and monitor progress, and review work product for completeness and accuracy.
    • Demonstrate creativity and efficient use of relevant software tools, analytical methods and computer models to develop solutions.
    • Develop analyses and financial models using transactional data and/or financial data. 
    • Generate client deliverables and make valuable contributions to expert reports.
    • Manage client relationships and communicate results and work product as appropriate.
    • Create and maintain strong working relationships with other members of the delivery team and the wider organization. 
    • Work independently or in conjunction with other developers as the work requires.  Participate fully in team planning and work with colleagues to continuously improve the team’s performance.
    • Participate in group practice meetings, contribute to business development initiatives and office functions such as staff training and recruiting.
    • Keep abreast of industry developments and technologies and coach other team members to improve skills.
    • Produce high quality design documentation.


    • A degree (e.g., BS, BBA, MBA, M.A., M.S., etc.) in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or equivalent experience.
    • Excellent working knowledge of the functionality and capabilities of MS SQL Server 2008 R2 and Oracle 11
    • Proven capability with MS Excel and relational database program(s) (e.g., SAS, SPSS, Stata, MS SQL Server, MS Access).
    • Hands on experience with SQL including expertise in writing sound, efficient and proper SQL statements ensuring stability, reliability, and performance of databases.
    • Experience delivering robust, testable, repeatable analytics and scripts for migrating data from disparate sources and producing reconciliation reports to confirm success or failure of data integrity.
    • Strong background in data modelling, data management and data manipulation, code management and version control.
    • 4+ years of work experience with a focus on data analytics.
    • Desire and ability to manage processes and other consultants.
    • Commitment to producing high quality analysis and attention to details.
    • Keen interest in economic or financial analysis and research.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Desire to work within a team environment.
